How do I instruct in my Will assets given to “dead beneficiaries” be redistributed EQUALLY within a particular group of surviving beneficiaries instead of redistributing PROPORTIONATELY as Residual Assets?

By default, under the “Select Clauses” tab for assets given to dead beneficiaries, you would have selected one of two choices: "Still be given to him/her" OR "Redistribute as Residual Assets".

Sometimes, you would like to instead have assets given to dead beneficiaries be instead redistributed equally within a particular group of surviving beneficiaries.

For example, under the Allocate Residual Assets section, you allocated to both your own siblings and your in-laws according.

If any of your siblings die before you, you would like your assets be redistributed equally amongst only your other siblings (instead of your in-laws) and the same goes for your in-laws as well.

To do so, in the " Select Clauses" tab, toggle on "Other Instructions" and key in the following (please fill in the relevant details accordingly) for EACH group of the said beneficiaries.

If any of the following beneficiaries:

- my {Relationship}, {Name}, {Identification Number/details};

- my {Relationship}, {Name}, {Identification Number/details};

- my {Relationship}, {Name}, {Identification Number/details};

dies before me, the share of my estate which he/she/they would otherwise be entitled to receive under this Will shall be redistributed EQUALLY amongst the SURVIVING beneficiary(s) stated in this sentence.
