How do I instruct my Executor(s)/Trustee(s) to seek a particular financial advisor’s assistance for certain beneficiary(s) who may have challenges managing large sums of monies?
If you have created a testamentary trust (TT) in our platform, and wish for the TT's trustee to seek a particular financial advisor's assistance, please refer to this article instead.
You can add the following under Select Clauses >> Other Instructions:
For the share of my estate given to my {Relationship}, {Name of Beneficiary}, {Identification details}, who may have challenges managing large sums of monies, my Executor(s)/Trustee(s) shall engage the services of my trusted financial advisor, {Name of advisor}, {MAS Rep No.}, who can be contacted at {Contact Details}. {Name of advisor} will be able to assist by providing various financial solutions aimed at optimising and ensuring the longevity of the estate for the benefit of {Name of Beneficiary}.
My Executor(s)/Trustee(s) shall exercise their discretion, diligence, and reasonable care in overseeing the advice and proposed solutions provided by {Name of Advisor} to ensure that the best interests of {Name of Beneficiary} are safeguarded.
Do take note that as the wordings dictate, the instructions above will still be subjected to the Executor/Trustee’s discretion. If you want to instruct your Executor(s) to purchase a specific financial solution (e.g. endowment plan) for the beneficiary instead of giving him/her cash directly, you can also do so by following the instructions in this article.
