How do I add intellectual properties (e.g. Youtube Channels, Training programs, Literatures, Music, Lyrics)?
Intellectual Property (IP) owned by the testator can be willed, but it will still be subjected to any country laws and rules related to the IP ownership. Whether it continues after death or its rights and interests can be transferred to the intended beneficiaries, these are still best checked with the respective platform/distributor.
For each of the IP owned by the testator, it can be added in the Allocate Asset page under the “Intellectual Property” category.
You would select "Sole" for the ownership type if you are the sole owner. If you are sharing the rights (e.g. you and the other co-creator) indicate it as shares and put the percentage you owned accordingly.
In the unlikely event where you have signed an agreement with the other owner indicating the IP is a joint asset with right of survivorship, you can put it as joint.
For the estimated market value, if you did not have the asset professionally valued, you can put in a general ballpark value first. Think within the guidelines of "at what price currently will you relinquish your rights to this IP".
Under Additional Instructions, key in the following (the details and instructions are to be edited accordingly to meet the specific requirements):
