How do I give a specific amount of money in my Will?

If you want to give a specific amount (say SGD 2000), you can do so via 1 of 2 ways.

1. Give from residual assets

To give the money from your pool of residual assets (assets not already specifically given to anyone), go to "Select Clauses" tab to toggle on "Other Instructions" and key in the following (please fill in the relevant details accordingly):

I give my {Relationship}, {Name}, {Identification Number/details}, a specific gift of {Currency} {Amount} to be drawn from my Residual Assets.

Ensure there are sufficient amount in your Residual Assets (assets that are not specifically given to anyone, including any future assets).

Any balance of the residual assets will be distributed based on the distribution in "Allocate Residual Assets"

You can also find these commonly requested clauses in the (?) at the relevant sections.

2. Give from a specific asset

To give the money from a specific asset (e.g. from one of your bank account), toggle on " Additional instructions" within the asset under the "Allocate Assets" tab and key in the following (please fill in the relevant details accordingly):

I give my {Relationship}, {Name}, {Identification Number/details}, a specific gift of {Currency} {Amount} to be drawn from this asset.

Ensure there are sufficient amount in the asset.

Any balance of the asset will be distributed based on the distribution in "Allocate Asset <3" or to the beneficiaries as residual assets if "No specific allocation is chosen".
