How do I configure my "Trusted Persons" in My Legacy Vault?

This article covers selecting and configuring Trusted Persons, who can access the information based on your configuration (such as upon your demise).

Please refer to this article on storage of information on the Will (i.e. which firm drew up the Will, when it was made, information on the executors and other notes and instructions such as where the Will is kept).

Please refer to this article on uploading the soft copy of your Will.

You will need to complete all of the above in order to have a complete set of digital information on your Will which will be shared upon your death.

The accuracy and relevance of the information stored is entirely dependent on how up-to-date it is. For instance, if you upload an old Will but fail to update it when a new Will is created (which revokes the earlier Will), the latest Will remains legally valid. However, My Legacy would still share the outdated Will, which would be revoked and unusable.

The original hard copy of the Will is still required for the Grant of Probate. If the original hard copy is lost or destroyed, any other version, such as a digital copy, would be subject to court approval.

For safekeeping of physical documents, you should consider professional custody services such as our gA-Vault.

Log in to My Legacy vault via Singpass

At the top, select the "Secure sharing" tab

Under "My Trusted Persons", click "View Trusted Persons"

To add more "Trusted Persons", click on "Invite new person" and add their details. You will need their Full Name, NRIC/FIN number, and their mobile number or email depending by which method you prefer them to be notified by.

"Trusted Persons" will need to accept your invitation thereafter by logging in to their own account via Singpass.

To configure what information and documents they can view, click on their name and configure accordingly. You can select for them to be able to see the information "Now"; "After death"; or "Never" [this is used when you want a Trusted Person to be able to view some information but not others].

Your Will information is under "Will", and if you have uploaded your softcopy Will as per this article, the soft copy Will is under "Personal Information".
