How do I remove site data for a specific website on Google Chrome?

Browsers save (cache) website files locally so pages load faster. If the site updates, your browser might try to use the old, saved files, causing formatting and display errors. Stored cookies or site settings can become corrupted over time, leading to layout breaks, unresponsive buttons, or login glitches.

To delete stored data for a specific website, you can clear its cookies and cache directly through your browser's settings. This removes saved passwords, local files, and site preferences without affecting other sites.

  1. Go to the website and click the Tune / Padlock / "I" icon on the left of the URL bar.

  1. Click Cookies and site data (or Site settings).

  1. Click on Manage on-device site data

  1. Click the Trash / Delete icon next to the domain name, then click Delete to confirm.

The steps are similar regardless of device so long as it is using Google Chrome.
